Firmin will fight for our schools, students
Alistair Firmin reached out and asked for my endorsement for state representative. After meeting and discussing school issues, I am certain he is the perfect candidate for our state representative. He is intelligent, thoughtful, and his passion for public education, especially for kids who are struggling, was evident. Many students have suffered in various ways during the pandemic; socially, emotionally and academically. I have seen this firsthand. One of my employees has four school-age children and he and his wife had to work during the school closures due to the pandemic. No one was able to help those four kids navigate at home learning while mom and dad were at work. All four are now struggling academically and nearly hopelessly behind. Every family with school-age children understands this problem.
As a parent of four public school children, Alistair's voice will be vital as he advocates for all children. We need his passion in the Legislature to help our students recover. The school board and administration can't fix this unless the state empowers parents and schools. Alistair is a good listener and I believe that's the most important skill for finding bipartisan solutions.
Please vote for Alistair and make our children's education a priority.
